Wallflow Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 25, 2026
Overview
Wallflow works without an account, analytics or advertising. Your settings and wallpaper library stay on your Mac, and we (the developer) receive no data from the app.
Data Collection
Wallflow does not collect data for its own services. Specifically:
- No personal information - We don’t ask for your name, email, or any identifying details
- No analytics or crash reporting - Nothing about how you use the app is sent to us
- No advertising or tracking - Wallflow has no advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, or analytics services
Services Wallflow Connects To
To fetch wallpapers and handle purchases, your Mac connects directly to these providers. As with any internet request, they receive your IP address, and their privacy policies apply:
- Microsoft Bing - The daily wallpaper. The request includes the Bing region you chose. https://privacy.microsoft.com
- Unsplash - Only if you use the optional Unsplash source (Wallflow Pro): your search terms or the topic you browse, and a download notice for photos you add, as Unsplash requires. https://unsplash.com/privacy
- Apple App Store - Product information, purchases and subscription status for Wallflow Pro.
Wallflow makes no other network connections.
Local Storage
Your settings, wallpaper library, downloaded images and diagnostic log files (for troubleshooting; never sent anywhere) are stored in the app’s container on your Mac. Deleting the app doesn’t remove them. To remove everything, quit Wallflow and delete the folder ~/Library/Containers/it.lindhorst.wallpaper-of-the-day/ (in Finder: Go → Go to Folder).
In-App Purchases
If you purchase Wallflow Pro, Apple handles the transaction through the App Store. We don’t process payments or store payment information; Wallflow checks your purchase on your Mac using Apple’s StoreKit.
Support Messages
If you email support, we receive your email address and the content you choose to send, such as your macOS version or screenshots. We use it only to answer you and troubleshoot Wallflow. Please omit sensitive information.
Your Rights
You can ask us for access to, correction or deletion of the data we hold about you (in practice, only support emails), and you can complain to a data protection supervisory authority.
Changes to This Policy
We will update this page and the date above when the way Wallflow handles information changes.

Simple version: No account, analytics, or advertising. Wallflow connects to Bing (and to Unsplash, if you use it) for wallpapers and to Apple for purchases. Everything else stays on your Mac.
